OTAMERICA Argentina receives crude oil, which may come from pipelines or vessels, and stores it in the 24 tanks at the Puerto Rosales Pumping Station and Maritime Terminal. For crude oil arriving from vessels, OTAMERICA manages two single-point mooring buoys for unloading operations from tankers. These maritime facilities are part of the Puerto Rosales Pumping Station and Maritime Terminal.

The crude oil from the pipeline originates in the Neuquén Basin and is received via two 14-inch diameter pipelines, which originate in the city of Allen, Río Negro Province.

Meanwhile, imported crude oil and crude oil from the San Jorge Gulf Basin and the Austral Basins is received by tankers that unload the oil using the terminal's single-point mooring buoys.

Crude Oil Transfer and Pumping: All received oil is stored in tanks and then transferred:

• To the pumping station of the Puerto Rosales – La Plata pipeline, operated by OTAMERICA, which pumps the crude oil through the pipeline to its final destination: the YPF refinery in the city of Ensenada, Buenos Aires Province, or the Shell CAPSA or DAPSA refineries, both located in Dock Sud.
• To the pumping station of the Puerto Rosales – Galván pipeline, built and operated by OTAMERICA. It connects the Puerto Rosales terminal with the Petrobras refinery in the city of Bahía Blanca.
• To the pumping station of the Puerto Rosales – Galván pipeline, built and operated by OTAMERICA. It connects the Puerto Rosales terminal with the Petrobras refinery in the city of Bahía Blanca.

This oil is used to supply the domestic market to the Oil Combustibles refinery (in San Lorenzo) and the Axion Energy refinery (in Campana), or to supply the export market. Recorded flow rates vary between a maximum of 3,000 m³/hour and a minimum of 800 m³/hour.

The Operations area is responsible for carrying out daily operations at the OTAMERICA terminal facilities that represent the company's "core business", which includes the reception, storage, transfer and dispatch of liquid hydrocarbons and chemicals.

The activities are carried out in strict compliance with our Safety, Health and Environment policy, and the quality standards of the industry.

All activities are carried out following safe and effective operating procedures, for which we have trained our employees.
We use effective indicators to measure the performance of our operations and establish excellence objectives.
The variety of activities under the responsibility of the Operations area includes:

• Logistic programming of operations with our clients.
• Storage of products in tanks.
• Loading and unloading of products to trucks, wagons and ships.
• Product transfers through pipelines.
• Mixing and additives of products in tanks or pipes.
• Inventory control and product quality.

During the learning phase in the operations area, the candidate will perform the following tasks:

• On-boarding process of the area and induction in the aspects of Safety, Health and Environment, corporate and private of the Terminal.
• Basic Terminal Operations Training (BOT).
• Assistant in coordination office and operations programming.
• Control room assistant.
• Shift operator performing tasks of measurement and sampling of tanks, loading / unloading of trucks, operations with ships, transfers through pipelines.
• Monitoring, control and management of maintenance tasks and execution of projects in the field
• Assistant in the certification office for product movements and inventory control.
• Development of a special project under the guidance of the Terminal Manager or one of his delegates.

The terminal is designed for the marine transfer of liquid hydrocarbons, including Propane, Butane, Naphtha, MDBS, B-100, ULSD and Diesel B5-S50, serving both domestic and international markets.

Products are transferred from the fractionation plant or from vessels through four subsea pipelines and marine loading arms, ensuring a reliable supply and operational continuity. The terminal infrastructure enables the safe handling of vessels up to 12.5 meters draft and 230 meters length overall.

Marine terminal operations are conducted 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, with or without vessel presence, maintaining the same level of operational capability, monitoring and control under all operating conditions.

All activities are performed in strict compliance with Safety, Health, Environment and Security policies (HSSE / ISPS Code), as well as applicable technical standards for maritime and hydrocarbon operations, prioritizing the safety of people, asset integrity, environmental protection and business continuity.

The variety of activities under the responsibility of the Operations area includes:

• Execute and coordinate marine operations with vessels in a safe and continuous manner.
• Supervise berthing, mooring and hydrocarbon transfer operations using marine loading arms.
• Manage product transfers through subsea pipelines, ensuring operational integrity.
• Monitor terminal operations 24/7, with or without vessels alongside.
• Manage critical marine contractors, including tugboats and small crafts.
• Supervise maintenance activities under defined operational control frameworks.
• Ensure compliance with the ISPS Code during marine operations.
• Lead emergency response and hydrocarbon spill control activities.

Learning Journey

During the learning phase in the operations area, the candidate will perform the following tasks:

• Corporate and site-specific induction at the TMPC Marine Terminal, including HSSE, ISPS and operational risk management.
• Training in Basic Terminal Operations, with a strong focus on marine operations.
• Progressive involvement in 24/7 operational planning and coordination.
• Rotation through the control room, supporting the monitoring of operations with and without vessels.
• Support in the coordination and control of maintenance activities.
• Practical training in emergency response and hydrocarbon spill control, including drills.
• Vessel preparation and attendance.
• Berthing, mooring and unmooring operations.
• Operation and monitoring of marine loading arms.
• Supervision of transfers through subsea pipelines.
• Development of a special project, focused on marine safety, operational continuity or process improvement.

The HSSE area oversees, coordinates, and controls all activities within the terminal that require attention from the perspective of operational risks and responsibilities related to Safety, Health, Environment, and Asset Security. It ensures that operations and maintenance tasks comply with OTAMERICAs HSSE Policy. Furthermore, through example and coordinated programs, it inspires employees and contractors to embrace the company's safety culture.

It defines the company's safety goals by implementing policies, guidelines, procedures, and safe practices to guarantee flawless operations and achieve the Zero Accidents goal.

HSSE is the primary point of contact with the community, authorities, clients, neighboring companies, and insurance companies regarding environmental, safety, community impact, application of new regulations, etc.

Learning Path

During the learning phase in the HSSE area, the candidate will perform the following tasks:

• Onboarding and induction process covering corporate and terminal-specific HSSE aspects.
• Familiarization with OTAMERICA's safety standards and policies and the Corporate HSSE Manual.
• Basic training in the main HSSE areas: personal safety, process safety, environmental protection and conservation, emergency response, incident and accident reporting, and reporting of Unsafe Actions and Conditions.
• Familiarization with and use of HSSE platforms for managing safe operations: Incidents & Measurements, Action Tracking System, MoC Management, Contractor Safety, Inspection Tool, Safety Risk Assessment, and TOCICA (Unsafe Actions and Conditions).
• Assistant in the HSSE office for the management and monitoring of the Regional Annual HSSE Plan and compliance with scorecard targets.
• Assistant in the HSSE office, supporting the coordination and scheduling of operations by preparing and reviewing work permits, conducting safe task analyses, managing risks and mitigating measures, and ensuring compliance with procedures.
• Field assistant for operations such as tank measurement and sampling, truck loading/unloading, vessel operations, and pipeline transfers, working alongside the company's safety technicians.
• Field assistant for maintenance tasks, working alongside the company's safety technicians.
• Learning the terminal's Emergency Response Plan and participating in the planning and execution of drills.
• Preparing safety reports and presenting key performance indicators.
• Learning the relevant health, safety, and environmental legislation, standards, and regulations.
• Learning the main employee medical check-ups, including first aid and emergency response training for work-related injuries.
• Learning the proper handling and organization of all personal protective equipment (including firefighting equipment), monitoring expiration dates and inspection requirements.
• Participating in the coordination and implementation of the employee training matrix on health, safety, and environmental topics.
• Participating in internal HSSE meetings and preparing the corresponding meeting minutes.
• Participating in the analysis of risks associated with operations and in the development of preventative measures (barriers) to improve the terminal's safety performance.
